National Integrity Strategy Committee (NIS Committee)

Formation and Responsibilities:

At the national level, as well as at the ministry/department/agency levels, Integrity Committees are formed to ensure the implementation of the National Integrity Strategy.

🔹 At the National Level (Central NIS Committee):

  • Chairperson: Cabinet Secretary

  • Members: Secretaries of various ministries, representatives from the Anti-Corruption Commission, Information Commission, Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, etc.

  • Secretariat: Cabinet Division

🔹 At the Ministry/Department/Agency Level:

  • Chairperson: Head of the respective ministry/department/agency

  • Members: Senior officials such as Joint Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Directors

  • NIS Focal Point: A designated officer (usually at the Joint Secretary level)
