🗺️ Jhalokati District – At a Glance

  • Location: Southwestern Bangladesh, part of Barisal Division.

  • Area: Approximately 758 sq km.

  • Established: Became a district on 1 February 1984 (previously a sub-division under Barisal).

🏫 Primary Teachers Training Center (PTI), Jhalokati

  • Purpose:
    The PTI in Jhalokati is a government-run teacher training institute under the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE).

  • Main Functions:

    • Trains newly recruited government primary school teachers.

    • Offers Certificate-in-Education (C-in-Ed) programs (previously).
