Recent Activities and Types of Activities of "Primary Teachers Training Institute" (PTI) —


🆕 Recent Activities

1. Conducting Revised BTPT Training

*A 10-month Revised DPAD (BTPT) course has started  All PTI in the academic year 2024-25.

*Apart from this, the January-April 2025 internship program is also being conducted.


2. Expansion of ICT and digital training infrastructure

*A state-of-the-art digital lab with digital smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras, and interactive whiteboards has been set up in PTI.

*ICT (ICT in Education) courses and online teaching system are in operation.


3. ToT and Leadership Training and Sub-Cluster Programs

*ToT (Trainer of Trainers) training in various subjects (such as Bengali, Mathematics, Science, English) is held at PTI in three to six-day segments.

*Demand-based sub-cluster training is being organized under the PED­P-3 program, where training is provided on selected topics through URCs and Upazila officers.


4. Action Research and Practical Teaching

*Practical teaching and Action Research activities are being conducted at PTI for trainees to solve small problems related to humanities and teaching.


5. Training Institute Monitoring and Support

*PTI officials have regularly visited schools, URCs in the district and coastal areas and sent necessary feedback.

*An Annual Performance Agreement was signed at PTI in June 2024 and implementation targets including Vision-Mission were set.

The recent activities of PTIs include modernization of training courses, enhancement of ICT-based training, leadership and trainer preparation, and field-level monitoring and feedback management—all of which are playing a significant role in the success of Vision 2041 and the primary education targets.
