Primary Teachers' Training Center (PTI) is an important institution in improving the quality of primary education in Bangladesh. The main function of these centers is to provide training to primary school teachers, So that they can teach in a more efficient, modern and child-friendly way. 1. Enhancing the professional skills of teachers
Regular in-service and pre-service training is provided to government primary school teachers.
Long-term training opportunities through Certificate in Education (C-in-Ed) courses.
Improving teaching skills in modern methods.
2. Modernization in training techniques
Introduction of ICT-based training using digital content.
Training of teachers in multimedia classroom management.
Use of student-centered and participatory methods in teacher training.
3. Production of quality training materials
Preparation of training modules under the guidance of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
Provision of subject-based guides and handbooks for training.
4. School-based training (SLIP/ELIP)
Support in the formulation and implementation of school-based education development plans.
Training for teachers and head teachers on leadership and management.
5. Expansion of in-service training
Compulsory training after recruitment of teachers.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program has been launched.
6. Introduction of e-learning and online training
Teacher training has been conducted through online modules (especially in the post-COVID-19 period).
Training has been integrated through “Muktopaath”, “Shikkhok Batayon” in collaboration with a2i and NCTB.
7. Development of Monitoring and Evaluation System
Regular monitoring and follow-up has been launched to monitor the quality of training.
Evaluation reports are prepared on teacher training programs.
